RUINING AN ART LIKE MUSIC

December 3, 2012

The last few years, the music industry has been sending horrible song after horrible song into the radio world. Let’s refer to it as ‘The Calamity’ from now on. The Calamity is being broadcasted through the ether by almost every mainstream radio channel of this planet. They open our mouths and spill a huge stream of toxic and putrid waste down our throats.

From overly auto tuned RnB to overly auto tuned pop songs or artists who try to be edgy, that is what mainstream means today. “Oh, look at me, I’m special and edgy”, all the pop stars seem to cry out. No, you should be ashamed of yourself for ruining a beautiful art like music. Yes Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Usher, I’m pointing at you. You have beautiful voices, yet you feel inclined to throw your bung onto the huge pile attributing to The Calamity.

Let’s switch over to the miserable piece of garbage that goes by the name of Chris Brown. Besides the fact that he beat the hell out of the pretty girl Rihanna (a beacon of hope in the Calamity community), he is the ultimate leader of The Calamity with songs that are auto tuned beyond recognition. Those songs treat lovely subjects as partying until you die, the wonderful joy of unprotected sex and smacking your girlfriend. That not only makes him a terrific ‘singer’ or ‘musician’, it makes him a disaster of a human being. Yet, his brainless fans, called Breezy’s adore him as if he is The Lord reborn.

The latest abortion coming out of the musical world however is a co-operation between Will.i.am and Britney Spears. I won’t even try to describe the emotional scarring that song left on me. I’m only going to say that if I ever wake up again with that song blasting out of my clock radio in the morning, I don’t want to be responsible for my actions anymore.

So please, producers and so-called artists, stop this Calamity. Leave it to the talented.
