Foamo
Foamo is my hero of the week: with a great mix and a ditto remix he’s really managed to win my heart! I strongly recommend getting the mix, it has a lot of quality stuff in it… Including the remix he’s made for Major Lazer and that is now being given away for free! This mix contains: a Major Lazer Jamaican-style vocal, some rough synths and a catchy melody, go check it out…
First, the mixtape:
And here’s the Major Lazer remix!
Major Lazer – Bruk Out! (Foamo remix)
EXTRA:
Not for everyone: a weird-sounding Motor remix of a “Malente vs. Azzido Da Bass”-combo. Let me know what you think, I kinda like it!
Malente vs Azzido Da Bass – They’re Killin’ It (Motor Remix)
Pigeons
Haha I put Pigeons up there but it’s not about pigeons, silly me.
Don’t ask me why, but I feel like making a big post today! A lot of good music suddenly decided to come my way after all, it must’ve been the wait of the century… It’s a varied bunch so take your time, I’ve got some hard-banging bass but there are also some more chilled-out tunes in there: take your time and try to enjoy it!
16bit – Chainsaw Calligraphy (Kanji Kinetic remix)
Ellie Goulding – Starry Eyed (Dexcell remix)
Jason Derulo – Whatcha Say (Afrojack remix)
The Mastertrons – Gardaland is destroyed
The best thing Jack Beats has made in the past few months:
Hockey – Song Away (Jack Beats remix)
Massive thanks to Sawgood for brightening up my past week, this man has a really banging EP on the way called “Sawsage” and it’s looking like it’s a real painbringer! Dubstep influences are never far away but the songs are faster for the most part… So just check it out and confirm that this guy is producing some decent shit!
Sorry about the sub-standard sound quality on some of the tracks, that usually means I couldn’t find a better version! But to make it all better I’ve got a little extra for you all, a new Foamo remix, and this time it’s Major Lazer who gets cut up, I have to say I like it, good job Foamo.
Mightyfools WMC Miami mixtape
“Right to left we got dancefloor duty!”
Really AMAZING mixtape from our friends the Mightyfools, absolutely love it!

Junk
“Only in America – do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and put our useless junk in the garage”
Here’s what was in my (Belgian) garage:
An old Blatta & Inesha track that was recovered from God-knows-where
Blatta & Inesha – Ain’t Nothing Ta Fuck With
Plump DJ’s, I continue to find interesting stuff by these guys, I like it! (might be miles behind on everyone else discovering them, don’t know, don’t care)
Plump DJ’s – System Addict (Mr No Hands Exo-Funk Rerub)
The only non-shitty remix for the new Etienne de Crécy-vehicle “Welcome”, I definitely don’t like the original, nor do I like the Bloody Beetroots remix! This one saves what’s left to save, which is a sign of a good remix. (never liked Pablo Decoder much tho, but well, Pablo if you read this: good job man)
Etienne de Crécy – Welcome (Pablo Decoder remix)
Cold Blank never seizes to amaze. Love that guy. One of the few at a constant level of quality these days…
Cold Blank – Los Angeles (Paul Anthony & ZXX remix)
Extra: first and last time I post a dubstep track! So enjoy it.
Hunting season’s open
I guess I wasn’t really back in business when I said I was 😀 But I’ve finally gotten around to making another post! Wasn’t feeling much like posting the last few weeks, guess I’ll have to force myself a little more in the future.
Here’s what I came across during my long absence, it’s not much but I hope you’ll forgive me, there’s not that much to go on nowadays! Seems like everything’s been done… Still, these tracks impressed me in some way so they’re worth posting!
Mahala Rai Banda vs Shantel – Mahalageasca (Bucovina Dub)
Sticky K – The reason I love life
Dirty Disco Youth – Minds… Off (Fukkk Offf remix)
Far Too Loud – Bass Association
Chris James and Lee Dearn – Torcida Cumbia (Mightyfools Remix)
Ladybox – Cookies Fly (Produced by AC Slater & B. Rich)
EXTRA: heard this one on Studio Brussel about a month ago, and asked Modek when it was coming out but he says he’s not gonna release it. So listen to it on Soundcloud for now!
Back in business
So, I know it’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything but I was busy with other stuff after my exams were over (drinking, fingerpainting, walking my cat, etc…) so I think you all deserve a treat. I’ve found something really banging! Coming from the guys over at New Cake Label (De grote Vinnie, Donnie en Sjakie Show, Jean Balaise, …) is a new production destined to destroy your ears! Jean Balaise has a new EP out called “The G.O.D. EP”, and for those who listened to the mixtape I posted a while back the tracks will sound familiar. Be sure to check out “Salauds de Pauvres” and the remixes by Good Guys and Slayertrash, those are the ones I like most!
Got some problems with mediafire so no extras for now, but expect some more in the not-so-distant future!
Fuel for People
So, nice little quick post today, haven’t got much time to find music during my exams, let alone write about it! Still, I wouldn’t want to leave you guys empty-handed for too long, so here are a few things that have dominated my playlist the last couple of days. First there’s Blatta & Inesha, with a seriously tough track:
I’m a big fan of Mr. Gaspar (half of Cold Blank, from which I have already posted the excellent “We are Rockstars”-remix), and he does an éxcellent job on this one, it’s really got that epic quality of a song that can make the club explode… check it out!
Morning After Dark ft. SoShy- Timbaland (Mr. Gaspar & Oliver Portamento remix)
Last one needs special attention because none other than The Proxy was very enthusiastic about him: The Mould is supposedly only 17 years old, and he’s making some serious shit already. Give it a listen and see what you think.
Extra: something to fall asleep to (it has ukelele’s in it. Not for everyone 😉
